We know, this probably doesn't mean much to you, but it is a giant step forward in providing you excellent care. A panoramic radiograph (x-ray) gives incredibly important information as to the health, development and position of different structures in your mouth and jaws. A digital panoramic x-ray can show these areas in such detail that, should a problem start, we can see it in very early stages. It will show abnormal growths such as cysts, impacted (unerupted) teeth, bone health, changes in the jaw joint, and in some cases, even show calcified areas in the carotid arteries!
All this and the image is formed in seconds with a fraction of the x-ray exposure that traditional film-based machines produced.
